Scuba CPR AED and First AidCourse Objective: This CPR AED course is designed to instruct the proper us of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) for Scuba Diving.  This entry level training class is designed to educate both expereinced and novice divers when and how to use an AED.  During the course you will be taught how to recognize Sudden Cardiac Arrest, the difference between Sudden Cardiac Arrest and Heart Attach, how to perform CPR using both the new compression only method as well as the traditional mouth to mouth with compressions method.  

This basic life support class addresses rescue breathing and cardiac emergencies in caring for adults, children, and infants.  All students will be trained in the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), disposable gloves and CPR masks / breathing barriers.  Other topics include the Chain of Survival, warning signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke, choking, how to treat these medical emergencies and accessing Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and / or arranging for evacuation to the nearest appropriate medical facility. 

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a 2 year certification card.
